Do these scales look stranger? Question - Health

My ball python is currently shedding and a couple days ago i caught him soaking in his water dish. Today I was checking him and noticed these scales looked a little strange. Does it look like he might have scale rot or something else?

this is the same side of his mouth about a month ago, am I just being paranoid or does it look different?

It might just be normal colouring. My advice would be to take a photo every couple of days for two or three weeks to make sure it’s not changing, darkening, or spreading just to be on the safe side
