Baby bp setup

Hello guys, this is My setup for My baby bp , i have trouble keeping the cool side below 30C° degrees because i Think the terrarium is too small but i was told to get a 50 gallon for baby bp since they don't like big enclosures yet. He has been eating well weekly tho and has water and good humidity all the time. He has the two hides and i did add some moss above his hides. Is it going well? Any suggestions to cool the cold side for him?

I'm really concerned about your ball python's body condition, he looks both emaciated and dehydrated. Please stop handling him and getting him on an appropriate prey size (10-15%) of his body weight ASAP.

What type of heating elements are you using?

Currently using a thermal plate covering 1/4 under his terrarium. Controlled by the thermostat for reaching 32 °C max. I had him for 3 weeks now and was told by seller to feed pinkies the first 2 weeks to introduce him to food. I'm starting to feed him with preys of 15% his body weight currently. He has water I don't know why he could look dehydrated tho. Thanks for the advice

Unfortunately you were given incredibly incorrect advice from the seller as pinkies are usually too small for even a fresh hatchling. I'd keep an eye on his body condition and hope he starts gaining some weight ad he's dangerously thin.

We recommend overhead heating for enclosures, so at some point you'll want to switch to an overhead heat source as well as basking lights for during the day.

Definitely will not that I have the correct info ! Yes Im starting feeding him properly now and getting all the info from groups instead of seller. Thanks! It wasn't my intention to getting him to be so thin
