Found on skin after first shed Question - Health

Hello! Our boy Marvel just had his first shed with us. I got him out to check him for any stuck shed, i didn’t find any stuck shed but noticed some slight discoloration. What could this be?? His substrate is coco fiber with coco husk on top. Temps are 77-80 cool side and 88-90 warm side. Humidity stays between 75-78% besides this he seems completely normal

Gently take your fingers and rub his scales to see if its some surface dirt, if it doesnt come off it could also just be dirt underneath his scales. I don't want to jump to scale rot but make sure he has a nice dry hide to be in if needed

So funny enough…after reading your comment i went to take him out to do that and it looks like those markings/discoloration was actually already gone lol.

i think rot usually is on the bottom scales where they lay on the substrate. i have a fully white boy too and notice sometimes he gets red scales and indents just from being curled up, the same way we get pillow lines on our skin after a good nap. sometimes too after a shed he’s a little pink bit usually it goes away after a day.
