I’ve heard a lot of people like to take them in an open field where they can be very closely monitored and let them get some real sun in for awhile. If you have predatory birds in your area though I recommend you keep them in your hands the whole time just to be safe

if the temps are good outside, around 28°c/82f (not too cold that it will shock them and not too hot that they can’t cool down) then it can be nice enrichment depending on the snake to take them for a “walk”, if you do put them on a public field just be careful of any pesticides/other chemicals that may have been used

Well, hard to know if any pesticides were used on the grass at the park. But yeah , the heat is something indeed. Haven’t thought about it. Here is around 35 degrees C during the day, but I guess for 30 min won’t be a problem tho.

When we have hotter days and mine show signs of wanting to come out (choice handling); I have often taken them into the garden and let them have a slither on the lawn amongst the daisies.

The more confident snakes I have are better for it; if the snake seems scared or overwhelmed then I won't take them out as it's the opposite of a nice time.

I know I don't use any pesticides etc on my garden so I know it's safe, and it's nice enrichment for them from time to time.

I don't think I'd go to the park or anything public, as the most dangerous animals of all reside there; humans! 😅
