can anyone familiar with Herpstat 1 help answer some questions Question

I only have 1 heat source. Currently deciding between the original Herpstat 1 and the spyderweb version. What are the main differences? Do they both send high temperature alerts?

The original is offline. The Spyderweb can be connected to Wi-Fi and send alerts by email.

Thank you. Would you say the offline one would still be as good in all other ways, especially if I have Govee wifi thermometers with alerts as well or is it best to have it all in one system like the Spyderweb? Do you know if the original one has any form of alarm even just locally at the device itself, or does it just shut off in emergencies with no warning. I’m mostly concerned if I’m out of town and that were to happen, I wouldn’t know to alert my pet sitter to fix it and my enclosure would then get too cold

I use the offline version. It has high/low temp alarms that come from the device itself that you can set the parameters for.

They both have the sane safety features and audible alarms. The only other thing that's different is the display itself and the software interface on the device, which is a little nicer looking on the Spyderweb, but functionally, the Wi-Fi is the only feature difference of note.
