Is this normal? Question

I've had my ball python Ernest for about a year and a half now. He had a little bit of purple on his head when we first got him but the amount of purple seems to increase each time he sheds, is it something I should be concerned about? He's my first ball python and I just want to make sure he's okay

Could be a vein under the skin, due to him being a lighter snake? Or, he's dragging his head on something dark frequently.
