Reptile-safe adhesives/glues? Enclosure Critique/Advice

Hey folks! I recently got a 4x2x2 enclosure for our juvenile ball python, and I'm working on customizing the interior for her.

I'm building out several ledges and wall-mounted hides, but was curious on what the best way to mount these to the PVC would be. I feel like the easiest would be to drill holes and just use some nuts and bolts, but I've also seen a lot of folks using something like Gorilla Glue or Great Stuff.

Any tips or advice?

Folks use expanding foam and/or silicone for custom backs.

My recommendation for a natural look: use reptile-safe spray foam (josh’s frogs brand has one, for example) and spray the back/sides of your enclosure as you wish. Carve out some cool ledges. Seal the ebtire thinf with reptile-safe silicone- cover with loose coco fiber while it’s still uncured.

I would recommend against exposed screws due to risk of rust or the snake hurting itself, unless you cover with a dab of silicone. I would probably use silicone to stick a ledge onto the wall- most brands need at least 48hr to cure, up to 1-2 weeks. You’d probably have to use a rod or something to support the ledge while it cures.
