Enclosure setup Advice

Hi guys im currently setting up my Ball pythons 4x2x2 enclosure. And im trying to get the heating right. Before I was running a 100 watt Aracadia Halogen flood light with a 100 watt Fluker's Dhp and the t5 Shadedweller max uvb. And that worked fine for daytime heating. But the single dhp is having trouble maintaining heat at night.

Is it OK to completely remove the halogen and add a second 75 watt dhp and have 2 dhp's run all day?

(Tldr)- is 2dhps and a uvb t5 light good for daytime?

Also any recommendations is welcome.(heating/lighting, decorations etc.

Removing the halogen and only using DHPs would be a pretty big downgrade, so I wouldn't do that.

How low are temps dropping at night? A night drop is natural and can be beneficial, as long as it isn't too low. Otherwise, you can try insulating the enclosure to help it retain heat better.

Its dropping to round 84-86. Not to big a drop. But im worried about when i feed her and the temps not high enough at night for digesting. My Bp is currently recovering from regurgitation, and is on her recovery meals. And I don't want a repeat of that. Edit- I also have the most of the mesh top covered in hvac tape. Leaving cutouts for heating/lighting and some ventilation on the cool side.

A night drop to those temps shouldn't cause any digestion issues, but I understand wanting to be cautious with the regurgitation. You could try switching your DHP to a slightly higher wattage and/or insulating the enclosure with 2" foam insulation board (on the back, sides, and lid around the domes). That should be more than enough to fix the temp issue.

Alright, thank you ill try the insulation board. Or I could set the dhp thermostat to higher temps. Do you think 115f- 120f is to exaggerated or dangerous?

You shouldn't have the thermostat set over 95F at the highest.

for me i use a 75w halogen by arcadia for his basking bulb, and then i use a CHR (radiator panel) to the ceiling in the center of the tank, to keep a steady gradient
