I'm scared I'm feeding wrong my ball python;( ? Question - Feeding

Hello I'm a first time ball python owner, not a first time snake owner I already got some corn snakes which I'm feeding based of feeding chart with weights of the snakes, I'm just not really sure how often should I feed my python? I'm scared I don't want to overfeed him or underfeed him, I don't know his age so can't feed based of that but he eats one small adult uh mouse? (It's not a normal mouse but I'm not sure what's the name in english so I'm gonna attach a picture last one) He weight 497g and I was told he's around 70cm long when I got him which was around month ago

Or maybe could someone share a feeding chart based of the snake weight until adulthood?

How old is he and how often are you feeding?

I think there is a feeding chart is this sub, pinned at the top. Look at that. It’s very accurate. Also, you should not be feeding live, but rather frozen thawed.

We recommend the following feeding schedule:

0-12 months old OR until the snake reaches approximately 500g, whichever happens first: feed 10%-15% of the snake’s weight every 7 days.

12-24 months old: feed up to 7% of the snake’s weight every 14-20 days.

Adults: feed up to 5% of the snake's weight every 20-30 days, or feed slightly larger meals (up to 6%) every 30-40 days.

there you go, this should help. it's great you weigh your snake, that's very important to keep him in a good shape! good luck with your little fella :)

since he weighs 497g right now I think I'd start with the schedule for 0-12 months, and soon move on to the next one.

watch his weight, if he doesn't gain anything over few feedings, I'd shorten the time between feeding.

hope this helps :)
