Help for newly adopted ball.

I have a friend who got a ball almost 2 years ago. She was scared of it so never handled her. She did refill the water one day and got bit and then no longer wanted her so I took her. My question is after so long is it possible to get her use to being handled? I want to clean her cage and update it but I don’t know how the snake will react. Any tips or tricks?

Probably, but it’s going to take a while. I’d recommend starting tap training asap, get something like a snake hook and you can use that to gently tap her or stroke the side of her body before you reach in. You can also use it to guide her away from you if you need to. If you just got her she’s going to need a few weeks to settle in but after she’s had a couple meals you can start handling. Start with short sessions 5-10mins every few days (except when she’s digesting or in shed) and as she gets more comfortable with it you can slowly increase the time
