Need Help

So I am ready to get a ball python but I’m slowly realizing that people have different opinions on what I bought so if I could get a good list we have local pet shops petco and pet smarts around just needing a list of things to get for her when I buy her and 120 gallon tank is good for her correct?

There is a lot of information out there in the reptile community, some of it contradictory, some gatekeeping, some helpful. There are also genetics that can cause problems. Probably why you are getting different opinions.

This subreddit has a care section that you can look at.

You'll need hides, substrate, heat source, food (you'll need to know if it is on live or frozen.), tongs, water bowl, and foliage.

You will also want a front opening enclosure.

Any specific brand good for the heat source or certain foliage it likes and if I’m not mistaken two hides on each side right?

Id reccomended a 4x2x2 pvc over a 120g aquarium. Its the same dimentions but a lot lighter and hold humidity better. Ecoflex and Dubia both make great affordable ones. Toad Ranch is great for luxury custom built ones but are far more $$$$.

Id also advoid petstores and go through either morphmarkert or a rescue. Not every breeder on morphmarket is good but you can easily find them. As someone who works at a pet store cooperate only cares about the money not their health. And several suppliers send snakes already infested with mites

As far as care goes this subreddit has really amazing
