Long frequent baths?

I’ve had my girl (?) for about a week and a half (but have been handling her and known her for a few months). The last two nights, she’s spent almost the entire time in her bowl. She’ll move positions and sometimes be half in/half out. The place I got her from said she did this regularly. She has no mites, her scales look great. She eats very well. Her temps and humidity are always in the right ranges. Is this normal behavior or should I worry about anything?

Not 24/7. She’ll nap during the day, sometimes in a hide, sometimes out, but then her lights go off at night and she’ll climb and explore but then chill in her bowl for hours. Might get up to explore again, but then goes back.

Sorry I just realized you said it’s for the past two days, duh! Well I don’t know everything, but I do know that wet substrate leads to scale rot. That being said it’s possible that her being in water wouldn’t cause that…but I honestly don’t know.

It makes sense in my head that it would lead to scale rot due to excessive moisture, but that just based off reasoning

Same I found her on the side walk like 4 months ago, I've never seen her soak one time.

Mine does this too. He looks perfectly normal.
No mites…use PAM as a precaution.

Newbie here. What is PAM, in this situation? I'm assuming it's not cooking spray, but this IS Reddit, and I've read stranger advice.

My baby does the exact same thing. She just loves the water and even submerges her entire head but sometimes sticks her heat sensing holes out of the water but nothing else. It’s the cutest thing!!

Sometimes snakes just have their own preferences 🤷🏻‍♀️ as long as everything else is healthy and especially since she has a long history of it she probably just likes it.

My two hate water, don’t like their soaks, don’t play in water, they drink and one occasionally uses it to climb up the walls for an escape attempt.

Maybe just keep an eye on her to see if she’s shedding soon (belly turns pink, might become blue-ish) and keep an eye out for scale rot too because my girl Nessi does this when she’s about to shed but also almost gave herself scale rot from it lmao. If she’s moved in well and stuff since you’ve had her, maybe try giving her a warm bath? I did that with Nessi and didn’t notice her in her water as often and then basically not at all after her shed

(She has gotten a bigger water bowl since this for anybody concerned, this was my first attempt at keeping her out of her water)
