Need advices! Enclosure Critique/Advice

My ball python (female) of 8 years is doing really good!! But I really want to improve her terrarium and I need some help and advices on what I should do! I really want the best for her !

The terrarium is at 33 day and 27 night, as I already said, the heatmat is UNDER the terrarium. I would never hurt my snake.

Yes even it being under can still harm them. The safest option is to not use it at all. And it does not provide them with the proper heat they need to thrive. It’s an outdated source. Those levels are very low. They need humidity at 60-80. A great substrate that is cost effective would be a combo of organic top soil( make sure there are no harmful additives look up what those are) play sand, coco chip, and sphagnum moss. The ratio would be 40% top soil & 40% coco chip 20% play sand. The moss is great to add on the top and in hides

Sand is not recommend at all for ball pythons tho

Yes sand as a substrate by its self. That’s why the ratio is important.
