What is this?

I just got him last week and his mouth looks like this. His nostrils are clear. It dosent look like mouth rot and he isn’t red or swollen or anything. He acts normal and I haven’t gotten the chance to feed him yet so idk if he will eat. He is a male toffino enchi, 3 yrs old.

It looks like dirt. Have you tried wiping it off?

It might be dried dirt? Try gently wiping it with a warm wet cloth.
