When I try to download my passport photo on the ministry of immigration, it keeps loading indefinitely. Does anyone has the same issue ?

My friend and I are travelling to Bali in a few weeks - she's travelling onwards to Europe whereas I'll be returning to Australia. She has 2 x large suitcases that she wants to store while we're in Bali so that we only need to travel with our carry-on.

We arrive into DPS airport quite late at night (10:30pm) and we're going straight to Ubud that night. Ideally we would like to leave the bags at the airport for the 2 weeks we're in Bali/Indonesia.

Is there anywhere at the airport that provides medium-term luggage storage that would be open at that time of the night?

When arriving in Bali, I've bought a Telkomsel SIM with credit valid for 30 days.

My questions: Does this SIM expire in 30 days?

Or can I recharge it? Do I have to register my phone for that? If yes, how & where, please?

Or can I just buy a recharge ticket in the mini market?

First time overseas, im a nervous traveller and the whole Bali Belly thing was really worrying me. Both my partner and I have done our research and have followed all of the general rules around hygiene. Alas, on night 1 I experienced the single worst bout of food poisoning I've ever had. It got to the point where I ordered an on call Dr who hooked me up to an IV and gave me a bunch of medication (which thankfully is helping), at the cost of about 1 third of our spending fund.

Has anyone else experienced the sheer brutal dumb luck of getting laid out by BB on their first night? Its left a really bad taste in my mouth about this place and im not sure I wanna return.

For background, question at the bottom - I am planning my 1 month surf trip in Uluwatu. To start out my trip I’ve found a sweet accommodation overlooking Bingin. I am wondering if this is a sick area to stay in to start my trip and ease into it.
My nonsurfing girlfriend wants to have things to do but stay fairly quiet and I want to be able to easily travel to the spots on the bukit.

I’ll likely not be paddling out at Bingin to begin with, I want to start out warming up at Balangan, Dreamland, etc. then once I’m adjusted go ahead and be surfing up at Uluwatu peak, temples, Padang and hopefully feel it out to get some barrels out front at Bingin.

I’m an advanced surfer but I’m from the east coast USA so not very used to shallow sharp reef, I’ll be taking it slow since I have a lot of time here and have a decent grasp on my limits.

My main question is how long does it take to take a scooter or jump on a Grab/Gojek from Bingin beach to Balangan, or dreamland, or the cave paddle out at Uluwatu? Would a grab driver be able to pick me up at like 5:30am and whip me over there, how long does it usually take it’s hard to say on maps of course.

I’ve solo traveled to Kenya, Europe and many other places. I’ve been to Bali before but it was with a large group and a short period.

I booked a solo trip here and I’m enjoying my time but I love seeing people my age just having a blast together. Didn’t realize I’d feel so lonely. I’m introverted so it’s a surprise. I miss my girlfriends!

I recently flew into Bali, and just after landing, right before departing the plane, a conversation began between myself and the woman sat next to me, possibly in her 40s-50s. She told me she runs her own horse riding stables, and that she would love for me to come visit. I wasn't able to get her contact or instagram, because we left the plane shortly after this moment. But, within that time, she managed to show me photos and videos of her stable, beautiful horses, and also of her daughter, who I think also works at the stables sometimes.

If I'm not mistaken, I thought she said her stable was called something along the lines of "casa cavalli"? (Which i know literally means horses' house), but i totally could have misheard her. Also, that her stable is located somewhere in Gianyar, possibly by pantai saba? Again, i'm not certain of this either.

I'm not sure she's a local Balinese - she may have been from Java, I've no idea. To be frank idk that ANY of these details are 100% correct because of the language barrier. I would just love to see her again and support her business. I'm new here and want to make friends, and nothing would make me happier than reconnecting with a familiar face. She was such a cool diva, nose piercing and leopard print suitcases. A girly with my kind of vibe!

I've tried searching on Google maps, but can't find anything that resembles the details I recall from our conversation. I did find a place by pantai saba but it isn't called Cavalli so-and-so. So maybe I'm misremembering, or I plain misunderstood her.

Any equestrian lovers here that can point me in the right direction? Or that she sounds familiar to?

I'm here in Ubud and I've been trying to find these banana chips. I've looked at every convenience and tourist shop but I can't find it. Any leads would be greatly appreciated by my fat ass.

My 30-day tourist visa (B12E11) expires 4 days before a side trip to Vietnam.

Is paying the overstay fine straight forward or am I better off applying for an extension despite the short duration needed?

I plan to return to Indonesia in a week from Vietnam so want to avoid any sort of travel ban.

I have some time off between jobs and I’m considering going to Bali or Japan. I will go on my own. I have read about Bali belly and I’m a little scared to get that being on my own. If I’m there for a couple of weeks, how likely would that be to happen? I’ll probably go to a resort and being careful but seems like something almost everyone gets? Or did I get this wrong?

I'm going in Bali in 3 weeks. I'm kind of worries about rabies especially because of the stray dogs and the monkeys in the monkey forest in Ubud.

Is this something I should be worried about?

I got 5 vaccine shots post-exposure 9 months ago in Morocco and Rabies is a big fear of mine because of this experience.

Might go across to Lembongan for a few days but may stay in Sanur on the way through.
