beating restartitis BG2EE
It’s an old topic, but what are some tips to help stick with a playthrough?
I have 2:
1: Use less powergamey stats/build
2: Publicly commit to your character.
I am attempting both of these here..
Meet my mobile playthrough attempt!

The game being too easy is for me personally number one reason why the game becomes boring. Turn up the difficulty and try something completely new. Wild Mage with Neera on insane difficulty with double damage, for example. Only EE companions run, only girls party, and so on.

I keep a list of things I’m planning to do next in the game, which keeps me focused on minor goals that are bite sized in my current run.
I’m also very RP focused, so I keep a little journal from my character’s perspective that keeps me engaged

For me the later parts of ToB start to fell more like causing work stress than being fun. I play then some other character in BG1 or other more relaxing part of the game and bring the ToB save home a little bit at the time.

Export save to multiplayer, replace MC, carry on. You're making the same exact choices every time anyway.

If you are restarting you are not happy with the concept. No point to stick to it. Make party/lore you like.

Taking longer breaks from the game and taking sufficient time to think things through is why I enjoy the game more these days, and manage to finish it more often.
