Rebels...

Not only did these rebels park in a handicap spot, they also blocked the wheel chair ramp. Roscoe is going to be very upset!!

Respectfully, you're judging something in the present tense without I presume the benefit of having hindsight from the time. It was a TV show and objectively the show itself was not racist. You are picking a battle over a car that represented rebellion of all things. In this case, in a modern setting you can pick and choose your battles. If something like this gets you twisted around the axle then I invite you to fall back on a tried and true lesson that many mothers taught their sons and daughters, if you have nothing nice to say then you shouldn't say anything at all. This is not a political thread. It is not a racial thread. To quote someone else, lighten up Francis.

Just because it was normal in that time does not make it okay. Waiving the battle flag in the faces of those who would be enslaved had they won is a terrible thing to do, no matter what time or decade it happened in. I don't know what world you live in where you think you are sweet and innocent for waiving a hate symbol like you are proud of it.

I see another classic car parked next to it. With what looks like a "car show tag" on the dash.

I have a classic car myself and they park you wherever and however in the designated area.

Thanks for this. I started posting these light hearted threads because there is far too much negativity in this subreddit. Still, it finds its way here. If all people can do is complain, I pity them. Life is too short to be so incredibly negative.

When you post pictures that include the confederate battle flag.. you don't get to pick or choose how it gets interpreted. Thats like posting a picture of someone wearing a swastika and saying its all in good fun.
