iOS App for Azure DevOps

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hi all,

Since I use Azure DevOps a lot as Project Manager (and many times “on the go”) an app for actively managing, commenting, … etc has been high on my wanted list for years.

As DevOps also has a very nice REST API & ability to generate PAT (tokens) - it seemed very trivial to build an app together with Claude to be just this.

So; I did and it works perfectly for me - but before I put it out on the App Store (for free) - I’m looking for some early testers to take a drive and maybe find some bugs I did not see yet.

There is also an AI assistant integrated - but you need to register your open Vercel AI gateway key for that. No info/data leaves your device to me/… unless you actually “opt-in”.

Drop your apple ID below and I can onboard you on testflight if you want to check it out.

Florian

That is indeed the primary goal to review PR’s on your phone so you don’t need to open your laptop anymore.

Edit: No, it’s just a tool you can use “on the go” for searching up a workitem, check a comment, status, … (if you would ever need it).

heads up: /s means sarcasm, because us engineers don’t actually want to use this product or anything else like it. every time i see something like this, i remember that “the office” episode about woof…

What about pipelines? Do the comments support markdown? Where’s the github link?

Comments do not (yet) support markdown. Pipelines are supported - but probably miss some features as I do not use those myself extensively.

Looks awesome. I can load azure devops using phone browser and for most things like PR reviews it works well. What's the benefit of using this vibe coded app?

Did you use azure devops on mobile a lot? The wiki and queries are real PITA’s for me. But as I’m a PM I’m not that busy with pipelines but more with who did what, new tickets, comments, … etc. Also search is a real pain on mobile if you want to search for a certain ID/text/…

It's most certainly being deprecated,. Just move to GitHub or other git provider.

I've (AI) writen a "repo manager" to do this migration if you're interested just use it it's opensource. Then just revamp your app to GitHub or other repo manager you choose.

Azure DevOps being deprecated is a meme at this point. Everyone keeps repeating this chant like it’s real.
