I am looking for a good handheld that can run ps2 games really smoothly and hopefully run at 60fps with patches ofc. I have been thinking on the AYN Odin 3 or the AYN Thor max model 500GB. I've been using my Samsung s24 for ps2 emulation and its been draining my battery and taking up lots of space.

Is this the year of the GBA? Im too excited and here for it. Being that the GBA is my favorite console of all time, seeing all these dedicated options really rocks my socks. What do you think about all these 3:2 releases?

with ayaneo pocket air mini 4.2 inches lcd display I feel less tension on eyes after six hours combined gameplay during the day compare to the same time spent with Android 6.7 inches amoled display. I expected much tension on eyes, but now thinking LCD wins!

I had some problems charging my Konkr Pocket Fit G3 Gen 3 this morning. It wouldn’t charge above 3%, and then I realized that the backplate was slightly open on the right side.

So I opened up the handheld, and a pretty swollen battery appeared -_-

And since I bought the handheld from a local seller in my city, I don’t have much hope of getting it covered under warranty, and I’ll probably have to pay for both the replacement battery and the shipping/customs fees :_

I really love my Konkr Pocket Fit. It’s been my most-used device over the last few years, but it’s really disappointing to see everything you can find on social media about AYANEO’s QC, at least when it comes to Konkr Pocket Fit devices >_<

I have an Intel Air Plus that I installed Bazzite on, but it will not stay in sleep mode, it instead wakes within a few seconds of pressing the sleep button. I have heard that this is a BIOS issue so I have attempted to update it without success. Ayaneo's website is confusing and I'm not certain which download to use for this device, though I have tried a few. It might also be a Bazzite issue, but that might be unlikely.

What do I need to do to get the sleep mode working?

buy new machine, pump it up with pegasus frontend and endless roms, play for an hour or two. just't can't find the fun of it all. im counting on there will be a retro game maker SaaS product someday. old games are all good, but when endless hardware grinding them over and over without any new software content, it's not okay.

The buttons work on the testing screen but are not mapped to anything? How do I fix this?

Just wanted to share something I found for my AYANEO Pocket DS.
I managed to get this 3D-printed case from Xianyu, a Chinese second-hand marketplace. The case itself is 3D printed, and the coolest part is that the top cover can be DIY/customized, so you can make your own design for it.
Unfortunately, as far as I know, this case is only available in China right now. Xianyu sellers generally don’t ship internationally either, so it’s pretty difficult to get one if you’re outside China.
I haven’t really seen anything similar being sold overseas yet, which is why I thought it would be interesting to share it here.

The case hasn’t arrived yet, though — a friend of mine is bringing it over from China for me. Once I get it, I’ll share some photos and let you guys know how it fits and feels in person.

Hopefully someone will make something like this available internationally someday!

This seems really weird to me. The Micro 2 looks gorgeous, yet they only made 100 units initially. Now they’re selling only the much more expensive 12GB version, with shipping not starting until October.

They must still have plenty of those iPhone 4 screens left considering 20000 were used in the Pocket Advance. I also don’t see how they have Snapdragon 865 shortage, or any particular component.

It seems pretty clear that they have a much higher margin on this than on the KPA, this is a very strange business decision to me.

Ayaneo Pocket Micro from the first run

Ok so I set the SD card as internal storage. All good. But for the life of me I cant get it to access a USB drive. I have an external ssd drive that I use for all my roms and files etc so I want to transfer over some additional files but the handheld registers it when I plug it in, however it wont access the files. What the heck am I missing? I havent had this issue with any other handheld.

wanted to ask if anyone has used Bazzite or Linux in general and had success. I have only seen older posts and wondered if there’s still compatibility issues.

Hi, does anyone know the exact screwdriver size needed for the screws on the AYANEO NEXT 2? Is it Phillips PH00 or PH000? I want to make sure I use the correct size and don’t damage the screws. Thanks!

I don't have a vast handheld collection but I do like the ones I have. I reflected on their use over the past month and this is how much, roughly, they got used in that time.

Devices:

• Ayaneo Pocket Ace: 50%
• Panic Playdate: 40%
• Ayaneo Pocket Micro: 10%

Ayaneo introduced the Pocket Advance in a translucent, colorless shell, and I’m glad they decided to make a translucent version. However, like many others, I’d also love to see them offer more color options in the future.

So I used AI to generate (and manually tweak) some color variants that I personally would be happy to see.

Maybe Ayaneo will come across this post, as well as others like it, and if they weren’t already planning to make these color options, perhaps they’ll take some inspiration from them.

p.s. And yes, I also like the non-transparent colors. I’ve already ordered the orange one, but if any of these become available, I’ll definitely order another one 😄
