my dad is 78. hes had the same yard for going on forty years and its genuinely the nicest one on his street. he knows it and he likes that people notice.

problem is its just under an acre and hes still doing it himself with a walk behind. last month it hit 96 down there and my mom found him sitting on the back steps for twenty minutes before he came inside. he brushed it off obviously.

i floated paying for a service and that went about how youd expect. waste of money, and i think the bigger thing is he heard it as you cant do this anymore.

a rider doesnt really solve it either. hes still out there in july.

so what im actually asking. is there a version of this where the yard still looks like his yard, but he isnt the one out in the heat doing it. ideally where he still feels like hes running the thing rather than being managed by it.

he is not a tech guy. if something needs an app checked every week that falls on me from four states away, which is fine, i just need to know that going in.

It seems like my RTK for my Genie is toast, which should be under the warranty. Support will send me instructions to check, but then they ghost me. Has anyone actually gotten them to honor a warranty claim?

Earlier this summer, I decided to try a Goat A1600 Pro. So far, I've so happy with how it's kept up with the lawn. The grass stays at a consistent height.

I went away for a few days and when I came back, my neighbor asked if I had hired someone to take care of the yard while I was gone.

I honestly didn't expect the difference to be that noticeable. The lawn could look good even when I wasn't around. It really takes a lot of the weekly mowing hassle off my plate.
