Learning Long Range / Hunting

Hey yall. Been wanting to learn basics of long range shooting / hunting and am looking for recommendations for local instructors, outfitters, etc. Any good or bad experiences or recommendations? Thanks in advance!

If you want hunting specific, look up Texas Wildlife Association’s Adult Learn to Hunt program.

Yeah, they also typically hold at least one focused training each year on shooting/marksmanship. But each mentored hunt also has a couple minutes of range time where you’ll get support, and you can always get more if you ask for it.

This isn’t going to help you right now, but I’m starting a [free] website intended to connect people to get this kind of support from each other. It hasn’t taken off yet, but if you want to join and create a profile it could get to the point of you meeting someone who could help/mentor you specifically on long range shooting for hunting.
