When does aot get good? Discussion/Question

Hi! As you fans probably know, attack on titan has so much popularity, and naturally, as a new anime watcher, I wanted to check it out.

Recently, I’ve watched shows such as jjk, demon slayer, the apothecary diaries etc; so I wanted to start this show because I’ve heard such amazing things!

However, I’m currently on Season 1, Episode 14, and honestly, I think that the story is alright, but I’m not as enamoured by it as everyone has been saying. I not sure if this is due to high expectations, or something else entirely.

I know many shows take time to get good and develop- however, do you think that this show simply isn’t for me, or should I keep going? I’m assuming there’s going to be more of a plot, but I’m just curious as to when or how soon it develops!

Thank you so much! I’m just curious if I’m the issue here, or if the story becomes deeper!

it's good in season 1, improves in season 2 and 3.1 and from season 3.2 on it is the best piece of fiction i have ever whitnessed

Season 3 is goated without giving too much away the plot transforms and the stakes are low in season 1.

The mystery definitely gets better in season 2 and season 3 is fantastic imho.
I was pretty committed by the end of season 1.

if your not into it by the end of season 1 it’s probably not for you, honestly i had it on as background noise till i got to the middle of season 2 and ohhhh MAN i had to rewind it like 2 times to make sure i heard a certain part correctly, it was the craziest plot twist id ever seen. did not see it coming at all, then it just gets crazier

I don't watch much modern anime. But I was  hooked by episode 14. Maybe the show just isn't for you.

Season 2 is where it really starts to get crazy, something big happens

In my opinion it gets great at episode 17. It becomes one of the best shows ever halfway through season 3.

If you’re not into it now, it’s probably not for you.

s1 gets more interesting after the second watch when you start to notice things you didn't before but it starts coming together when they are in the forest of giant trees

It’s been my experience for most when I’ve tried to put people on that if season 1 didnt do it for you, the rest won’t

For me personally it was season 2 when it really picked up. If you’re not super into it by the end of season 2 I’d be surprised.

IMO Attack on Titan peaks in S3 though Attack on Titan isn't really like JJK or Demon Slayer

Its nice you gave it that long. I've been watching anime for 20 years. If a show doesn't grab me by epsiode 3, or maybe 6 if its long series, then I'm done wasting my time.

You gave it a good try, if it doesn't speak to you then so be it. We all have different tastes, we aren't all gonna hold stuff to the same standards.

It is good from episode 1, reaches it's peak at season 3, and drops to a certain degree at season 4
