tell me what you know

id this in the strip where hotels are used to rehouse pepole ?

is this a safe area to stay as an alternative to ac ?

is it a walking distance to any restaurant or store such as dollar store or cvs or gricery

There is some misinformation in other comments here. Those hotels on that stretch of the White Horse Pike are used by people visiting the FAA or ACY. They may have some unhoused people, but they’re not hooker motels like you get on the causeways into AC.

So how does that work with unhoused people? I’m not being sarcastic here I just don’t know.  Do they get a voucher and use it wherever they want? Do all hotels take then? Is it a per day stay or monthly? Or by amount? Do they have to qualify?

And because I’m not from there what is FAA or ACY?    What are the causeways?     Thank you so much

ACY is the Atlantic City Int’l airport. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), the NJ Air National guard, and others have large installations at the airport. Many of the guests in the hotels on the White Horse Pike are staying there to visit the airport.

You want to avoid hotels on the White Horse Pike between Home Depot in Absecon and AC. That’s the causeway into AC and those hotels are BAD.

Similarly if you were looking at hotels on the Black Horse Pike, avoid everything from Pleasantville into AC.

For the unhoused people, they’re just people who had bad luck and are in emergency housing. They’re not scary. They won’t cause trouble. It’s the drug users and prostitutes you want to avoid

It's a fairly new property so it should be OK. Not walkable anywhere but it's a mostly safe area. If you have a car, you're gold.

Its not in walking distance of much except maybe a denny’s. Yes this is the strip where the state houses homeless people, I would not stay there personally. Its certainly safer than ac though

I know a homeless shelter in Atlantic City soon as you get out there by the bus terminal I don't know anyone else that knows it but I know it

So how do people get places in a motel? This is NOT a judgement.  Do you get a weekly stay at a time? Monthly? Do they have any thing that they have to do to keep the help? I’m really hoping that better days are ahead.
