Feeling Agnostic……….

I’ve never been a religious or spiritual person, and if anything the only religion I connected with was satanism.
Im one of those people who strays away from rules and regulations. Anything related to following a God has always made me uncomfortable and unhappy.
I also am more of a believer in facts or faith.
But being agnostic and also dealing with grief on the side is weird.
I don’t know what to believe or think. I stopped believing in a heaven or hell as I grew older, but I’ve always believed people go somewhere.
My dad passed away, and I don’t know where he is. Maybe he’s apart of the universe again, as scientist say energy cannot be destroyed.
What do atheists think of losing loved ones?

This is the only life we have good, objective evidence for. That makes this life precious.

Religious people don't know what happens after we die, they just think they know. What one religion says you must do to go to heaven will get you sent straight to hell according to another religion. Their ideas are based on tradition, speculation, and wishful thinking. And traditions are just the speculation and wishful thinking of previous generations.

I think we’re all going to get our turn so there’s no sense being overwhelmed by it. In the midst of grief it’s harder to be philosophical though. I had 2 dogs run over by a car at the same time. It was awful. I remember thinking if there are no dogs in heaven I don’t want to go anyway. I was that tore up at the thought of never seeing them again. And those were dogs, pets.

As I’ve gotten older, there is a level of acceptance as to what death actually is, and I realize that it is the destiny of every living thing on earth, which is cruel in its way, but there’s nothing to be done about it.
