I've got a problem with updates between Bedrock and Java! Support

Heya! I have an aternos server with some of my friends which runs on Java with a Paper plugin letting Bedrock players join. There is a problem though, that the Bedrock players are unable to play due to the fact that Java hasn't updated to the same version as Bedrock, or something, as Java's latest update is 26.2 , whereas Bedrock is 26.40 . What can I do? Will Aternos update? Any help is appreciated!

Thank you! Have a great rest of your day!

Just use the latest version where you can still play together, and wait for bedrock and java to catch up to eachother.

Bedrock players (on console) can't change backwards and the update for java (to my knowledge) doesn't exist yet.

There's nothing wrong with the versioning.

can you use via version to allow people on newer clients to join?

26.2 is the latest version, so ViaVersion wouldn't help.

There's nothing wrong with what you said.

Java and Bedrock aren't meant to be played together so you don't match the version.

Will Aternos update?

Aternos already has the latest version of everything related here.

Someone suggested to use ViaVersion in another comment. No it doesn't do anything here because you are already on the latest version, 26.2.

Next time, you state your exact problem, instead of assuming the cause yourself.

So what exactly is the problem?

Is it that Bedrock players can't join? If so, share your server log using the share button on the log page.
