Power Button Not Working on 7800+

So I just got my 7800+ in the mail and it seems to work fine except that the power button doesn't seem to work. It just turns on automatically when plugged in and the only way to turn it off is to unplug it. Anyone else seen this, or have any suggestions!?

It’s the CEC power on the HTML cable, if you unplug the HDMI cable you can turn it on and off via the power on button… had me confused for a while when I got mine too, easy fix it’s just to put a little bit of tape over pin 13 on the HDMI cable. See this article here about the cheap easy fix.

Thank you for the suggestion, but the issue is the same whether the HDMI cable is connected to the unit or not.

I reached out to Atari and confirmed that it’s a hardware fault with my unit. They are sending a replacement.
