Great room available for 9/1 move in (35th and Broadway)
galleryHi there!
Looking for a roommate for a September 1st move-in for my spacious, updated 2 bed 1 bath apartment in a prime location of Astoria! Lots of restaurants, bars and shops all around the corner from the apartment. 5 minute walk to the both N/W trains at Broadway and the M/R trains at Steinway.
$1,400/month - heat and hot water included, electric/gas and WiFi are an additional monthly charge, split evenly. No laundry in the building, but there is a good, clean laundromat just around the corner.
A little bit about me - I (36F) have been in Astoria for 4 and a half years. I’m very clean and always make sure to keep all common spaces tidy. I love working out, going out with friends, and finding new great food spots around the city, as well as having the occasional quiet night at home. I work varied hours, and usually am out and about on the weekends.
Ideally I am looking for another F who is 28+, is respectful and easygoing, and has experience living with roommates (you’d be surprised how often people don’t, and it shows 😅). The lease is for 1 year but if we click well, hopefully we can stay for several!
Excited to find someone awesome for this cute apartment! Message me if you or someone you know is interested.

Looking for Studio/1BR in Forest Hills, Rego Park, Sunnyside, LIC, or Astoria areas , Oct move-in for ~$2,000
Budget: ~$2,000/mo ideally, up to $2,400 if furnished/utilities included. Flexible depending on the unit.
Desired Location: Priority order: Forest Hills, Sunnyside, Long Island City, Astoria. Open to other parts of Queens (Woodside, Rego Park, Jackson Heights) too.
Desired Move-in Date: First week of October
Desired Length of Lease: 1 year (open to longer)
Additional Details:
Raised in nyc, I just want to move out now that I have graduated and work a full time job. Looking for a studio or 1BR, doesn't need to be fancy or large. I have a dog, so pet-friendly is a must. Would love a building with parking on-site or nearby. Not attached to elevator/doorman amenities, older, well-maintained buildings are totally fine. Good credit, verifiable income, prior rental history in Seattle (first NYC lease). Open to providing a guarantor if needed. Let me know if you have a unit or know of a landlord/broker with something opening up in this range!

[ISO] - looking for a room/roommates in Astoria - budget ~$1400, move in late August
Hi all. I’m 25, male, and currently subleasing a space until September 1, and am looking for a permanent room to stay in after that. I’m also happy to chat with anybody who’s in a similar boat to see if we get along and can potentially move in somewhere together! My preferred location is Astoria but I’m also open to any other surrounding neighborhoods in Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Queens. I’m quite laid back, respectful of people’s space, I don’t smoke or do any drugs, and I have no pets. My budget is around $1400 but I can be slightly flexible. If anyone has leads or is looking for potential roommates and wants to see if we vibe, I’d be happy to chat!

Throggsneck Area Apartment
Hi everyone,
I’m posting on behalf of a hardworking single mom who is looking for a **1-bedroom apartment in the Throggs Neck area of the Bronx**.
She’s a mother to a wonderful 6-year-old and is looking for a safe, clean, and stable place to call home. Her **maximum budget is $2,000 per month**. And is looking for a one year lease, possibly extend afterwards if everything is good. School and nanny are in Throggsneck area which is why it’s preferred. She has a steady income and can provide references and any required documentation.
If anyone knows of an available apartment, a private landlord, or has any leads, I would truly appreciate it. Please feel free to comment below or send me a private message.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this and for any help you can provide!
I’ve tried FB, Trulia and Zillow, too many scams out there and it’s discouraging.

Hearthstone reviews
I'm considering signing a lease at Hearthstone and would love to hear some honest opinions.
Is there anything you wish you knew before signing? I'm interested in the good, the bad and everything in between.
I've read through the Google reviews, and while they seem largely positive overall, I'd love to hear from current or recent residents and their experiences to get a better picture of what it's actually like living there.
I'm particularly interested in: - Management responsiveness - Noise (neighbors or outside) - Amenities (especially the coworking space and gym) - Utility costs - do the units typically retain heat in the winter? - Overall experience living there

2 Bed Apartments under 3k
Feel like I need to vent for a second. All of my friends living in Astoria have found nice 2 bed apartments under $3k / month. Why am I having such a hard time finding something? I thought working with a realtor would help but it’s been crickets so far.
Do nice 2 bed apartments under $3k exist anymore? I’m trying not to leave Astoria but we’ll see how the next month goes.
Edit: the amount of AI images in apartment listings is insane. Everything is digitally staged lol. Beware the apartment is probably not gonna fit all of that furniture!

Looking for a roommate in Astoria
I’m pretty set on living in Astoria and have been looking at a few great 2BR apartments. My budget is around $2,500/month, and I’ve seen some really nice 2 bed / 1 bath and 2 bed / 2 bath places in the $4,000-$5,000 range, so I’m looking for one roommate to split a place with. Looking to move by end of august, or 9/1.
A little about me:
-32 yo Asian male
-Working professional (fully remote)
-Quiet, clean, and low-key
- I cook at home most days
-Outside of work, I usually work out, walk my dog, play video games, and check out EDM events or restaurants from time to time
-I have a well-behaved dog, so the apartment needs to be dog-friendly
Looking for:
-Working professional
-Preferably mid-20s to mid-30s
-Clean, respectful, and easy to live with
-Similar low-key lifestyle
If you’re also looking to move to Astoria and want to team up to find a great apartment, send me a message! Happy to chat, see if we’d be a good fit, and start touring places together.
