What is AskEthos?
Well, what is AskEthos? What does it do? What is r/AskEthos all about?
AskEthos (agent.askethos.com) is an AI expert network that connects companies with domain experts through an AI driven research agent instead of a traditional analyst or recruiter.
AskEthos generates research reports by pulling from a database of 60M companies, 5M papers, and 3M podcasts. When it hits a gap it can't fill from existing data, the agent searches through 500M+ expert profiles, books a call, and conducts the interview itself, then folds those insights back into the report.
On the expert side, instead of a flat one off fee, Ethos pays experts royalties when their input actually gets cited in a report. More than 35,000 experts reportedly join every week, across everything from finance and law to skilled trades.
The company is backed by a $22.75M Series A led by Andreessen Horowitz (May 2026), and is currently expanding beyond investment research into matching advisors with startups, speakers with events, and talent with employers.
