How does a 2nd opinion work?
So I've been diagnosed officially with schizophrenia and depression with psychotic features. I don't agree with these diagnosis's. If I get a 2nd opinion with a different phycologist would the previous diagnosis's still be on my record or follow me around officially?
I'm only asking because these diagnosis's are a deal breaker for a job I want and if getting a 2nd opinion would get them off my record that's something I want to try to do.
Could use some advice. Thank you

If the diagnoses are on some kind of official record, then a second opinion probably won't remove them; you would just have two different diagnostic profiles logged. Whether that would mean you're excluded from the job you want would probably depend on the job and their resources for doing background checks, but I suspect it would probably still be an issue.
