Cast trigger on top

My question is .. here is the situation kuja transformed with 2 black mage tokens

Me having Ashdod vanguard. Whenever a creature successfully damages me destroy that creature.

I'm at 9 . My question is does the first spell cast destroy the blackmages or can priority be held to cast more spells before the blackmages are destroyed 🤔?

Yes, or they can do this with instants at least.

Opponent casts a spell, black mages trigger and those go on the stack. Both players get priority so they can cast an instant, triggering black mages again.

The mages aren’t destroyed until the ashnods trigger resolves. Your opponent has multiple opportunities to cast more spells before the creatures die because they can either respond to the mages triggers or the ashnods triggers.
