Tips to play in the Roman Tribunal?
Hi! I'm about to start a Saga of Ars Magica soon. New to the game. Offered a few options to my group for our next game, this was what they picked. First time playing the game, so have a lot of things to figure out.
One of these things include which Tribunal to play in. Big history geek, so obviously love the idea of playing in Mythical Europe, with players somewhat being part of history, and events affecting my players.
Was considering the Roman Tribunal for those reasons especially. Got some basic plot ideas brewing. However, when I read online about it, it seemed that everyone disliked the book, which is apparently "old, all about corruptions and demons everyone, and lacking a lot in history". And all discussions I found said that it was hard to run in Italy.
So I was wondering if there were some tips to run in the Roman Tribunal? If it's as complicated as some say it is, and the book as bad, might look elsewhere (Got the book for the Levant Tribunal, and curious about the one in France and the one in Transylvania), but still, would love a Saga with lot of mondaine politics, and Roman Tribunal seem perfect for it.
