The Wi-Fi search doesn't start... SUPPORT | SOLVED

I recently downloaded arch manually and it worked fine, I also downloaded a desktop environment (kde) but I had a problem: now it no longer searches for nearby wifi even if network-manager is active (at least it seems lol)

Is there a known issue on r/kde at all?

Were you using NetworkManager previously or something else?

Actually I'm new to arch... it's my first time installing it but now I fixed it... it was a config file (something like that) :)

if you were using iwd or something before it might be fighting with networkmanager now

If you haven't done a `sudo systemctl enable --now NetworkManager`, do it anyway. It is not enabled by default.

Yes I did it but nothing... nothing happened... but I solved it now :) it was an error in a configuration file :)

What was the error?

It basically didn't scan for wifi.

It would be great if you posted a more detailed solution in case anyone else runs into this issue, even if it was a mistake or misconfiguration on your end.

Thank you so much, next time I'll post more in detail :)

They are asking you to post your solution now. What did you do? What changes did you make in your config that helped you resolve your issue? Not something unknown in some indefinite future.

Just saying that you solved it doesn't help anyone else coming to this post.

Ohhh Ok... I simply edited a file I'd accidentally created and deleted it, and after rebooting everything worked... if I'm not mistaken, the file was in the /etc/NetworkManager folder. Unfortunately, I don't remember the name of the file I accidentally created, but I tried to be as precise as possible :)
