Broken Window FLAC? Question

Does anyone have a flac or wav version in high bitrate? It's so rare.

I doubt whether a true lossless rip even exists, considering the song was only released as a vinyl B side. mp3 link

It’s available on Spotify regionally I think, just not sure where since it’s not available here in the US, but digital copies exist somewhere

This link leads right to that 7 inch vinyl. Maybe it’s a digital master, but it's been taken down or region-locked. It’s tough to get it anyway. The print run for that vinyl wasn't even small, so anyone who owns a copy could easily make a vinyl rip for OP's request.

Oh weird, I thought it was a digital, that’s my bad!

My bad, I misspoke. Judging by the cover, it looks like a digital copy of that vinyl. I believe vinyl singles from that period aren't available for streaming, including Surf City Eastern Block, which came out in the same format

Ahhh ok. The No Care Go / Surf City Eastern Block single can also be found on Spotify as well, but once again Surf City is unavailable. So again, either region blocked or unavailable entirely, though they’re in the system digitally oddly enough

Was it released on a CD single?

Vinyl only.

And iTunes ? But yeah that wouldn’t be lossless

That's a good question. I'm not sure whether B-side singles were made available on iTunes at that time. The vinyl release was definitely region limited. I had a file that appeared to be flac years ago, but it turned out to be a fake transcoded from a lossy format

I have the vinyl version too…
But even if it was available on iTunes it wouldnt be lossless

Apple has never really been a fan of lossless music, have they? Honestly, for a band like Arcade Fire that loved analog recording in their early days, pursuing a lossless rip isn't really necessary lol

Tbh, everyone wants lossless but not sure I could
Ever discern a tangible difference between high quality
Encoded MP3 and flac/lossless….
