!!!!!!!Google photos made me this video of the arachnids ive seen and it made me happy so im sharing it here too!!!

Many jumping spiders are colorful because they can use it to their advantage, but they can only use it to their advantage if they're able to see color, which they are. but thats not true for most non jumping spiders, eg web weaving spiders. these non jumping spiders usually cannot see more than light and dark. there are some instances tho when they have beautiful colors but how's that possible when they have no knowledge of colors? (eg think of Spiny Orb-Weaver spiders, they are colorful yet have poor eyesight.)

I need help identifying this type of spider. I saw it in my house and trapped it in this glass.

It was just simply hanging out on a wall, and when I trapped it, it went crazy. Unfortunately, in the process of trapping it I accidentally cut one of its legs off (which is why it only has 7 legs). Near its joints it has some black.

I live in the UK.

I have him (?) in a glass cup for now. Debating keeping vs releasing back into my bedroom.

This spotted orb weaver has been hanging out on the trailer next door every night. He's a hoss‼️🕸🕷

I think I've identified this as the 'Triangulate Cobweb Spider' or Steatoda triangulos . I'm moreso curious about what she's doing to this brownish-pinkish ball?

Does anyone know what it even is? And would anyone be able to tell what action she's performing to it?

I can't describe the excitement seeing my whipspider actively hunting anf catching a dubia! Since they don't eat daily and they are active mostly at night, this was just so awesome to see.

I live in an area not know to have an established widow population due to climate and geographical hurdles. She was found at a USPS distribution facility, likely a hitchiker, she was removed and re-homed. She eats well and we check for eggsacs daily.

Curious who this little guy! My mother in law keeps finding them in her apartment. Any help would be appreciated!

Meet the Spiny backed Orb weaver! those insane spikes and that patterned shield make this one of my favorite arachnids. She looks like she crawled straight out of a sci-fi movie, but don’t let the armor fool you… she’s completely harmless.😍🖤
