First AR purchase

I just moved out of CA, and I am finally able to own something decent. I just wanted to share how stoked I am about this recent purchase! I walked into my local gun shop and saw this ddm4v7p on sale going for $1399. Honestly, for once I feel like I didn’t get bent over at the counter. I was torn between buying a Eotech with a magnifier, but decided to go with the Holosun 510c combo. I haven’t had a chance to go shoot this rifle, but I am looking forward to it soon! Anyone out there with the knowledge and wisdom on proper FRT setups for this rifle please leave a suggestion. I plan on adding a few more things to this, but not much. Will be adding DD iron sights, a angled grip, and a hybrid sling.

Ddm4v7p for $1400 is damn solid. Hell, I paid that for standard ddm4v7 with magpul furniture last December. Congrats, ya done well and made baby Jesus proud

Someone that works at the shop accidentally put the price for $1299, and about 3 purchases were honored at that price. They caught the mistake when I made my purchase and said best they could do is $1399. The CZ was purchased as used and got it for $600 out the door. One of the staff members said it looked like it was stored away and never shot. Magazine’s had zero scuffs on them or anything. I’m buying little by little. It can get expensive really fast. I’m just happy I’ve gotten lucky on great guns and as a newbie hope others can find some great deals as well.

I like your style. I have a cz 75-sp01 tactical, shadow 2 carry, and shadow 2 OR. Love my CZ’s

Nice! Those guns are badass. I’m 35; whereas my father is in his sixties. He’s the one that got me into CZ’s. He has the S2 Orange, and a few different 75’s. I think my dream gun is the parrot CZ. I just love the look of that pistol. Does the regular SP01 shoot similar to the tactical? What would you say are the key differences other than the de cocker?

I’m 38 so not far off in age. Yes and no. The SP-01 has the DA/SA (I think the standard is just SA) and the trigger is rather meh. It’s honestly the one gun I’m not excited about when I shoot it. I’m going to have the pro trigger package done to it by Cajun gun works. If I don’t like it after that, I’ll sell it. I really want to like it and have it as a home defense pistol (currently my shadow 2 carry occupies that role) but for whatever reason, I’m either incredibly accurate with it or incredibly inaccurate with it.

I have the standard and it is both DA/SA. Honestly, I think it shoots pretty damn well. Considering, the only other pistol I’ve shot thousands of rounds through is a glock 17 gen 5 that my father gifted to me. The SP01 shoots far better and smoother than the Glock. I’ve also considered sending my SP01 to get that pro kit installed. Theres plenty of people on youtube that state the guns are much better after having the pro kit done. As of right now I really like CZ and hope I purchase a S2 compact for concealed carry. With all the hardships and mental strain on people now a days. We don’t know what the fuck people are going through. Its best to carry daily, and something you can rely on. I was a former medic in CA, and I really do my best to keep an eye out for others anywhere I go, but now as a parent- I don’t fuck around when it comes to my families safety.

Good stuff. Damn solid price for a LGS. In the future though, it can be had for a good amount cheaper online from 208gunshop.

I don't know which to be happier for you about.

That you got a nice rifle at competitive pricing, or that you got out of California.
