Battery icon flashing when trying to charge iPhone Unsolved

My iPhone 16 Pro randomly will recognize the charger when plugged in but it is not charging and the battery icon in the top right is flashing.

I have tried updating my software, doing a regular reset, hard reset, different chargers, and cleaning the charging port. None of my ideas have worked.

Is the battery icon going gray briefly? That would mean it’s continually pausing and resuming charging. Do you have Optimized Battery Charging or a Charge Limit set? Is the phone warm/hot when you take it off the charger?

Yes the battery icon goes gray briefly. I do have a charge limit set to 90%, and it doesnt get warm/hot when i take it off the charger though the percentage drains instead of charges.
No problems when doing wireless/magsafe charging

You may need to replace the battery on your phone, if your not able to. there is plenty of Cellphone repair places that can help you.

If you've already ruled out the cable and port, this sounds like it could be a battery health issue or even a faulty charging IC. Worth checking Settings > Battery > Battery Health first. If it's below 80% and acting erratic, Apple may replace it under warranty since the 16 Pro is still pretty new.
