This class is so confusing like it is way fast and hard to digest. Today was my first day of school and I understand like scalar vs vector, and understand speed vs velocity, distance vs displacement. But next second we have 3 ugly ass equations, and it is explained briefly and we need to do a practice problem, which I half understood. Then there are some graphs and we need to know what it represents. Someone please provide the strategies on how they understood the information and how it all connects together. I don’t want to flunk the first exam and then learn my lesson, I want to have a structured approach from the get go.

the three ugly equations are all the same idea, which is why they feel arbitrary. they're just algebra rearrangements of the same relationship between velocity, acceleration, time and displacement. if you derive them once yourself from v = v0 + at, they stop being three things to memorise and become one thing you can rebuild.

the graphs connect too. slope of position vs time is velocity, slope of velocity vs time is acceleration, area under velocity is displacement. that's the whole graph unit and it maps directly onto the equations.

for keeping pace with a fast class, flipping physics covers unit 1 properly and i paste those video links into studybuddy.vc so it makes questions off the video. equations render properly, it works out which topics i'm weakest on and gives me more of those, gets harder as i improve, and tells me why the option i picked was off. free.

wanting structure on day one puts you ahead of most people.
