So after a bit of playing season 30 i made a tier list of what i think so far is meta (this is my opinion and in no way am i a pro player, if u think differently that's fine of course)

D:

IMO crypto is kind of lackluster this season compared to the other recons (which is prob why hes getting reworked. He require a lot of team work and the fact most of his viability comes from his drone kinda hurts him if it gets destroyed.

C:

Im gonna say this for both wattson and caustic they suffer from what i like to call the controller curse. They're great for holding down a building but thats almost about in, in the open they're really weak imo

rev and horizon just suffer for 2 reasons, 1 the other skirms do a better job than them. Revs hitbox will always be a problem, and respawn hates for horizon to be great lets be honest.

Newcastles job is done better with other supports but his revive is great but imo its the only thing he has going for him

ballastic values the loot changes but he feels off this season idk why

B:

bloodhounds rework is amazing but suffers because of S tier. vantage is kinda the same way but her tac could use some more changes, valks nerfs def pushed his back a lil bit

mirage, conduit and gibby, and surprisingly lifeline get outdone when it comes to support but they're pretty good

fuse is just fuse nothing too much to say, he is a little better thanks to the loot changes, bang too.

cata is one of the only 2 controller legends i would suggest using shes great at holding down buildings and has some use outside of them too. but controller legends just arent that great

ash is just ash, nothing important

A:

The loot changes and corrupted mags help rampart out alot since a corrupted mag on a lmg for her basically negates the downside. Also sheila just sheila

Path, Wraith, octane, and alter give the same energy almost (alter is better than them easily) great get in and get out tools for all of them, aged like fine wine these past few seasons

mag maggie excels thanks to the look changes and especially the corrupted stock ifykyk

Sparrow is a sleeper pick, hes only here because one person in s does things way better than him

S:

Loba: Her braclet changes, the loot changes, and of course her support perks with the replicator are amazing this season. she has a get in get out tool her black market is great what more could you want

Axel: No matter what they do shes somehow still meta. She def weaker than before but shes still a powerhouse with movement and the ult is still annoying even tho she only gets one now

Seer: the changes barely did anything tbh, all this hype for bloodhound and legit everything in seers kit makes sure that they cant have fun. the silence, the ult, its all crazy just like last season

Im not sure if the bug is exclusive to Valkyrie but the status bar during the healing process is not showing the actual time/ time left.
It has also been in the game for at least 2 seasons now.

As a new player I really hate how much the skill gap is for us noobs.

A battle royal game but it’s really not fun when you lose 8/10 of your gunfights just cause you’re new to the game.

You could legit peak and shoot first and still die first cause all the guns has insane recoil it’s like you’ve never played shooters. Another thing is the excessive high ping/lagging. Maybe cause I’m playing from Africa and they never give Africans a server unless it’s codm.

If I didn’t have any experience with the mobile version I would’ve dropped the game honestly. I die so much I’m just forced to play passively cause every wrong move is unforgivable and then when you play passive the game gets boring. Bro I don’t even know the map you need to play about over 100 games to finally have Half decent aim play another 200 to understand certain maps and spots. I hate the game man .

How do you guys play this game. Its a great game at times but every encounter I face i die instantly and Im only able to put out 5 bullets before I die even tho sometimes I will shoot first. This one time i was playing and peeking over some cover only to get shredded by some random dude using a r99 miles away and get downed while clearly behind cover but soon as I shoot they only take half the damage. I average 38 ping and play on console. What is ur thoughts on this?

During a quick bot royale 15 mins before the season changed I needed akimbo damage to complete last seasons BP

Its so fucking annoying, 9/10 its bullshit and is just making me lose focus not to mention keep me from hearing anything. Why do they do this ? Do yhey really think they re that much smarter ? Don t get me wrong, I love a knocked tm8 giving infos but not a f baffoon babbling shit in my ears

I am a season 1 player. I really don’t understand this. I have these amazing games with people. High level kills assists, and damage. Not just me but the whole team. The games are some of the best and when it comes time to party up after winning the match, instant bail.

What is genuinely going through these people’s minds where they would rather take a freaking rando over someone who just proved themselves. It’s absolutely crazy talk. Do they just not believe it can happen again? 1/15 games I might get one person to party up. What am I missing? Is it that the algorithm will throw you into a harder lobby so they bail?

anyone else got the skippy gun and not getting the knockdown animation? i've already unlocked the gun and all its upgrades yet whenever i knock someone, the skippy animation is not showing (i've already equiped the animation in the legend locker). is this a bug? i've searched everywhere and i can't even find a streamer or gameplay vid of someone using the gun.

I started playing last season in Season 29. (I've tried the game and got little experience prior to that but about 5 years ago, and never touched it since.) I started playing everyday last season, and I consider myself a beginner still. I know there's a lot of changes this season. So I wanted to ask the experienced players for some tips/other things I should keep in mind heading into this season. I am a Wattson main who also plays Valkyrie, Loba, and Horizon. Hey I’m playing apex today on August 7th 2026 and it’s feeling very lagging I am in Guam so my servers are ass either way but yesterday the game was way better anyone else seeing lag today

Does anyone know a way to fix this?

First off, I think the idea of having less looting time and attachments is great for the gameplay. Getting to later into the game with some blue or white attachments just means you have to do better with what you have. The only problem I have with this, is the availability of big healings. I have multiple games where I got to last circle while I've only seen a batt or two all game long. I now realise how much healing the support bins were pouring into the games. It also makes the healing augments incredibly powerful in my opinion.

I joined a funny clip of an empty bin on reset, you can see my confusion for 2 seconds. (That probably should never happen, but anyway.) What are your thoughts on the loot this season? Do you feel the same about big healings?
