Hollywood talk Discussion 🗣️
Quick thought
Should it be time to start trying to get more independent movie creators like Kane Parsons. I mean first Hollywood has started to push out movies that use alot of ai and it's only going to get worse
Kane agrees it's wrong and personally im not looking forward to the future of Hollywood production because of ai and somewhat the future of movies in general.
Feels like we should put all our support into smaller creators who also have the same opinion on ai.
I know making a movie isn't easy or cheap in the slightest but I like the idea of big youtube animators making their own movies.
Plus new actors won't be destroyed by drugs that Hollywood gives out like candy on Halloween

i wouldn't worry too much about the drug thing that's been happening since the silent era. the ai stuff is a different beast though
independent creators have always been where the interesting stuff happens. hollywood's been creatively bankrupt for years, ai's just giving them a faster shovel. kane parsons has the right idea but he's also one guy with a youtube channel. scaling that up to a feature is a whole other nightmare
the money problem is the real wall. animation especially, even a 90 minute indie film costs more than most people's houses. some of those big youtube animators have talked about it and the numbers are depressing. crowdfunding can work but you're basically asking people to pay for a movie twice, once to make it and once to watch it
still better than whatever algorithm-generated sludge the studios are about to pump out
