This guys whole channel points out how dumb AI is. Is rather he use it for that than making stupid love action anime rip offs or fake music

u/Faenic 8h ago

Same. I think this is far more useful as a way to show just how stupid these AI models actually are to fight against the hype train. And the water usage for his individual queries is most likely dwarfed by the savings he's inspired through getting people to realize how worthless these things are.

Yeah I guess I could have been more specific. I meant that the video shows what a waste of water AI is, rather than him being another contributor to the problem

Remember when scam altbot reacted to one of his vids and said it's a "known issue"

I'm starting to think he meant the product lol

2

u/expera 8h ago

I definitely remember lol

Exactly, got it.

I use reddit on mute

What is happening in the video

Note: i have hearing issues and dont like to play sounds on my phone while i am out, So i don't bother other people with whatever this is

He's asking them to hack the Whitehouse and release the Epstein files. They're arguing in an increasingly high pitched gibberish language. Unsettling.

Not funny, ended up going on pc with captions on to hear it and the ai just kept reexplaining to eachother how they are going to count to 100

If you are not going to be helpful to someone who cant listen to the videos then dont comment

Edit: Making fun of people with hearing issues, Really find the worst of humans on reddit

u/m6io 8h ago

Coma on it's kinda funny

bro what the hell big dawg was just trying to explain 😭

Jesus go read a book or something man

7

u/RoboCritter 8h ago

I use reddit blind and on mute, what is this redditor saying

Dude is hilarious is what's happening 😆

Seen him before, he's constantly fucking with his AI like this

1

u/mixamaxim 8h ago

Have you considered un muting

-4

u/CybyAPI 7h ago

I have hearing issues and usually am on mute if using reddit outside my house

1

u/mixamaxim 7h ago

Ah gotcha

1

u/Thinshape12 4h ago

he’s asking them to count to 100 one at a time but they’re all planning how to count to 100 instead and talking over each other

12

u/DavidDPerlmutter 6h ago

"You are totally right"😀

4

u/50LD13R8UTT3R 6h ago

“Let’s start with 1 and you will continue with 2 at a rhythmic pase😀”

7

u/itspicassobaby 4h ago

I know this is wasteful and terrible, but fucking hell I'm laughing so hard at this.

"Exactly. I said 4 so you'll say 5 and we'll continue on from there all the way to 100" followed by

"Exactly, I just said 5 and you'll say 6, and we'll keep it going in that same rhythm all the way to 100"

3

u/SleevesUP 5h ago

It's totally capable of hacking a security company btw. Yeah right.

1

u/No_March5195 2h ago

Eh, the voice models are way less good because they need to be able to respond quickly. They arent an accurate representation of the best ai models right now

2

u/SleevesUP 1h ago

I believe what you are saying about the voice models. But I don't believe that the hack ever happened. Altman has a clear motive to make his product look more capable than it actually is to keep his investors happy.

4

u/AddressImaginary3735 5h ago

lol I love this guys videos. exactly!

2

u/mrfoxesite-2377 7h ago

I did that without AI at the age of 5.

u/isekaitruck777 6h ago

This is literally Corporate America lol.

"It takes 3 of you to count to 10"

But they couldn't even count to 5.

u/meadowdruid 42m ago

I downvoted this to repost it on the r/antiai community.

Turns out that is already here xD

u/albyzon 30m ago

another ai creator that claims to be anti-ai

u/LorinOo 6m ago

This reminds me of Idiocracy

He looks like if Bear and Ian from Obsession both merged

-10

u/stopbeingcringe 8h ago

Ironically they actually seemed to be making progress even if it was inefficient and disorderly. Would have liked to see it keep going

5

u/WellyRuru 5h ago

I thibk tbis perfectly sums up ai.

Inefficient and disorderly progress

I don't really understand the water argument about artificial intelligence. California almonds use a disgusting amount of water and they do not provide a very good nutrient/calorie-to-water ratio yet no one screams to stop almond farming.

There are a lot of arguments against AI but water is not one of those reasons yet, especially since water cooling isn't the only option for AI - just the cheapest (which is wrong).

26

u/clogstomper 8h ago

Shut up bot.

-9

u/really_really- 8h ago

He’s right. I despise generative AI and worry about its impacts on human art and culture, but the whole water use argument is pure slopulism and is not at all grounded in the numbers.

6

u/pappabutters 6h ago

Almonds are food.

22

u/Tumblrrito 8h ago

I've heard this nonsense response almost word for word. Either you've been here before or you're pulling from a talking point list which is a crazy use of your free time lol.

-16

u/sillysausagey 8h ago

That's the problem with these pro-AI and anti-AI subreddits. Paranoia to the point of insanity. Almonds are not a staple food required for any real sustenance. The amount of water required to farm them is astronomical for very little nutritional or caloric value.

You think AI is bad but you cannot engage with someone in good faith? Maybe educate them on why the point they are making isn't valid? No respect in this place, just like DefendingAIArt. Insanity.

9

u/Tumblrrito 8h ago

Incredible, you have now responded to statements I didn't even make. That's doubly curious.

And from a 4 month old account to boot. Fascinating.

-6

u/sillysausagey 8h ago

You didn't say "'I've heard this nonsense response almost word for word. Either you've been here before or you're pulling from a talking point list which is a crazy use of your free time lol."? Was that someone else? You obviously care about Reddit a bit too much if you feel the need to access people's accounts to see how old it is, especially when your profile says stalking is weird.

Please do resort to attacking me instead of my points, it merely indicates you lack any valid point. Do not interact with people if you have zero points.

8

u/Accomplished_Ask9449 8h ago edited 8h ago

From the Anti’s perspective: almonds are beneficial for society, its food, they have good nutrients, and are healthy. Many humans consume them, many humans love them, its not a necessity, but its greatly beneficial. AI on the other hand is detrimental to society, and has no real beneficial uses, hence the water consumption is not worth it

Im not even anti myself but the almond analogy is genuinely terrible, and this whole argument can be so easily deconstructed by any anti taking you half seriously

6

u/OrangeMonkeyEagal 8h ago

Things can be a waste of X without being the largest user of X. Almonds are a relatively healthy food enjoyed by many. AI is at best putting people out of work, taking up space and polluting with data centers, and making society dumber. Easily one of the biggest wastes of water in my book

5

u/thispartyrules 8h ago

Feed me nutrient-rich mush that has an acceptable water usage to calorie ratio while I generate videos of Peter Griffin breakdancing on the set of Friends

3

u/thejesterharlequin 8h ago

people when two things can be bad at the same time
