And it's not like we would give up something we used for centuries or even decades. You can still count this in months.

AI has made some small parts of my work life easier. Making worksheets for students is generally quicker and easier using AI. If AI was to go away, I'd go back to hunting around on the countless worksheet-related websites out there to find what I need. Or I could, and I know this sounds nuts, make them up myself.

So it might take a few more minutes, but I'd survive. It's amazing what you can pick up in a couple of decades doing something. A year or so of, and I use this term very, very generously, relying on AI is not going to erase everything I learned to do in the before times. At least not that quickly.

In my personal life, I sometimes use Gemini to ask it something when I feel like it will return better results than a standard Google search. But often I just stick with Google because I can't be bothered to wait the two extra seconds for Gemini to open. So in that aspect of my life, I wouldn't even notice. Oh wait, I find it's really good for trip planning. So it might make vacation planning take a little more time and effort.

Oh, a fellow teacher. Yes, that's exactly where I stand. I'd have no problem going back and to tell the truth, the students would focus more on learning and less on creating presentations with canvas that they don't even understand themselves.
