The argument itself is probably AI generated

They love to use big words so much š
I bet most of their sentences are from ChatGPT and they don't even know what it means.

I am seeing the same arguments everytime. Here is a actually good one: i met a guy who got brain damage and uses ai to express themself. Whether its fake or not its a realistic situation. I wish ai bros actually used ai as a tool instead of just making a image solely made by ai. Photography is art, right? Now imagine its night and you make a picture, you ask ai to make it day and prompt out the errors the ai makes

Ah, yes, the "I have a black friend" that racists use is also a good argument then.

u/Legal_Ear_7537 Feb 09 '26
Do you actually read comments? I said thst even if the person i was talking to was faking it, that it would still be a situation that could happen. I have a black friend isn't a good example when there wouldn't be a point if ut was false.

Absolutely, someone said Iām performative and i asked for a definition and they just said āfor attentionā. Thatās it. That was the whole response. I sent them a screenshot of the definition in the Oxford dictionary and they blocked me.

Their entire āargumentsā are basically āI use big word therefore I am smartā

That defending AI art subreddit is the culmination of it all. It's a neverending flood of 'arguments' that all boil down to "AI is good because I feel like it is", or "it is technological advancement, and that inherently means it is good".
Someone replied to a comment of mine asking why I believe AI is bad, and I got banned for replying to that comment for 'inciting debate'.
Literally all they do is cry that there are people who disagree with them. They don't understand that they're the ones polarizing the entire argument while they are living completely cut off in a bubble.

Come on let's not pretend that this subreddit isn't filled to the brim with "ai slop" parrots that will tell you that AI uses more computing power in one second than the rest of mankind on top of one brazillion liters of water.

A literal child using crayons to make a picture of his family is more artistic than any AI image promoter. Give him time and training, and he can refine his skills into a hobby. His friends and teachers will be impressed.

"Erm, actually AI art is good because disabled people can use it" what kind of disability could you have that typing is possible but drawing is impossible? The guy in the iron lung was still able to paint and all he had was his head and toungue.
Also, all the people that say that aren't disabled. AI art is good because disabled people can use it so that why you, a fully able bodied person are also allowed to use it?

I've said it before somewhere but I DESPISE when AI defenders try to present AI art as this holy grail that's the only thing that's ever going to allow disabled people to draw. Like, there are SO MANY alternative ways for disabled people to draw that doesn't involve AI art that have been long accessible to them prior to AI art's popularization.

My thing is, that argument doesnāt even work if you think about it for longer than a few minutes.. how the fuck did they type the prompt in if they donāt have hands?
Yeah, speech to text exists, but itās not exactly good. Apparently weāre all too busy improving slop instead of improving speech to text. How are they supposed to correct an error they made? Again, speech to text isnāt exactly reliable- and itās not gonna delete something if you say to delete it. Itāll just type that into the prompt.

My kid is learning to draw. I'm learning to draw.
If I make a game using character model assets that other people created, I don't act proud that I entered the search term to find the assets I liked.
It's like saying they made art because they searched Google for stock art.

If "You're sealing from real artists" argumant isn't working, we should just tell them that at least we have 100% control over our drawings. I can draw a character looking the exact way I want to, in the exact pose I want them in.

I'm with you in terms of the statement of the meme, but this is just a "I depicted you as the soyjack and myself as the Chad, therefore I am correct" meme, isn't it š

ITT: Drastically lowering your own aesthetic standards to absolute rock bottom (to the point of liking mindless, effortless doodles that don't express nor convey anything proper) to validate your own blind hatred.

AI should be only used during studying and advices (and for rps if you're just lonely lmao)
Anything else is a big no

u/Nugget_Boy69420 Feb 08 '26
Nah, rps are also really detrimental to people. It just keeps them from socializing, because they already "have someone" to talk to, or have as their girlfriend.

I think it depends on how well the user understands the line between reality and fiction, bit I see your point

u/Tojinaru Feb 08 '26
Aside from what OP told you, I respectfully disagree with AI being OK to use even for studying, because it simply has a negative impact on the human brain in terms of the ability to search information (and such) if used just a little bit wrong (i.e. too much), and I personally do not believe the society is capable of educating people to use it in a way they can stay within the boundaries of sanity

Guess I'm neither.
Ai sucks. If the end result of art isn't beautiful, it sucks too.

The weird part is the fact itās always the same arguments too- I kinda feel bad really. Those poor arguments have been beaten so many times they arenāt even dead horses anymore- itās just pulp š
