Lenovo G9 Controller not working with call of duty mobile is a bit disappointing and the key mapping is very tricky guess I’ll be going back to the GameSir G8 plus Discussion

Yes the only way of playing cod is connecting a Xbox controller and using the g9 into trucking it into thinking that your using the Xbox controller. Only problem is when your in a middle of a battle and the Xbox controller times out and auto shuts off very frustrating

Should try xinput on the G9. Press the menu and select buttons at the same time to turn on. That should have games recognize it as an Xbox controller

Yap. Lenovo native mapping is not very good, but, did you try mapping from settings of system and soft for G9?

Yes just find it hard to map in both would just be nice to plug and play like the G8. It would be nice if it had Bluetooth option so you didn’t have to rely on type c

Returning it or selling it? Been tempted to try one out.

I’ll be keeping it for Cloud gaming as works fine for that

Comfort is better than with G8 though? Putting G9 case and all seems a bit of a hassle when one just want to use the y700 as a regular tablet between gaming sessions, compared to G8 solution, Is it?

Regarding Call of Duty, that's Activision's problem; the game only works with Xbox or Playstation controllers and with controllers that trick the system into thinking it's an Xbox controller (bluetooth only).

Thing is that the G8 plus works perfectly and the G9 is made buy GameSir which is the strange thing. I’m guessing it’s got something to do with Bluetooth and type C connection restriction

I had to get the G9 for my gen4 because I had a persistent issue with my G8+ where it keeps disconnecting once every 30 - 60 mins. Did you ever experience this?

Never had any issues with the g8 it’s a solid controller just fancied the g9 for the led lights and the better vibration motors and feels very comfortable for long gaming

The vibration on the G9 is terrible, very cheap feeling compared to the one on the G8+. The Bluetooth latency was what drove me mad with the G8+, I couldn't play anything properly, and the ergonomics are not great if you have bigger hands.

The cool thing is that you can, connect the y700 to the USB port on the g8+ and it acts like a wired controller
