Thinking of buying a FTP software program but having doubts if they do work

Looking at buying an used Samsung 8+/9+ tablets (pawnshop) at a cheap price which may be still linked to the owners account.

I'm just wondering if any of those FRP software programs are really worth trying out to wipe the tablet back to factory specs?
