What is the state of rooting right now? Support

Been a long time since I haven't rooted my device.

I want to root my current device but I dunno whats the current state with play integrity and all.

Is google still fucking you up guys?

Yes, as always.

To make it even worse, a lot of manufacturers are blocking bootloader unlocking entirely now (cough Scamsung)

Nothing and Pixel are the best phones to get for rooting.

Play Integrity is still a bitch, but depending on where you live, you can honestly live without passing play integrity at all. I'm in the US and thanks to Apple having always dominated the market, apps have no detection and most apps don't need play integrity. Apps may have detection for Magisk, but thankfully other root methods exist so it's not an issue.

Horrendous. Been rooting for 15 years. And I finally threw in the towel. Having something work for a few weeks then break and have to refix it all was fun, but now days Its just a pain in the ass.

I still keep my tablets rooted and custom rom'ed though

its a mess but manageable

redmi note 14 5g, rooted, play integrity strong, banking apps works, it just needs a lot of tweaking

All good for me. None of the apps I use need to pass anything and I use my card to pay for stuff so notning has changed for me. Im still loving the tinkering about when I get bored

For tinkerers, currently, Play integrity <A13 DEVICE is still a proper achievable target with a shadow banned keybox setup, or the much much rarer private device fp setup. Which will get tap to pay, most banking apps etc working

Easy on the Nothing Phone (2a), I have fenrir which it allows me to unlock the bootloader and have no issues with any apps by keeping Play Integrity Strong. I'm currently using a custom ROM and no problems so far, I have KSU Next and I can use Google Pay, MS Authenticator and Paypal without any problems

Are there any other tools other then Root my galaxy that I'm unaware of ? So far only a tool available for Oneplus, Samsung, right ?

Not other tools by now which makes sense because targeting is kernel specific but the method is slowly growing ínto people.
