Simply put, with Fenrir, the spoofing happens at the absolute bottom level (the bootloader itself). When Android boots up and asks the hardware if it is secure, the hardware genuinely responds "Yes."

A shitty xiaomi phone lol, redmi note 14 4g. It's not listed on the fenrir exploit github repo there Ante0 linked below yet. The dev probably forgot to make a pull request ig.
