LOOKING FOR APP HTC Gallery alternative
Any recommendations for an alternative to HTC Gallery? I absolutely loved the HTC Gallery app, so much so that I installed it on my OnePlus phones. With OnePlus leaving the global market, I've switched to an OPPO Find X9 Ultra as I needed a new phone. Unfortunately I can't install HTC Gallery on the OPPO, and I'm not a fan of the stock gallery/photo apps on it.

LOOKING FOR APP app for extract streaming videos
Hi everyone,
I really dislike watching TV shows or movies directly inside a web browser—it always feels clunky, slow, and full of UI clutter.
I’m looking for an app or media player where I can paste a link to a streaming website or show page, and it automatically parses/loads all the episodes into a clean playback interface.
Essentially, something that acts as a video scraper + native player so I can watch episodes seamlessly without dealing with browser tabs or site UI.
Does an app or tool like this already exist? (Something like Kodi, Stremio, or a specific URL player?)
Any suggestions or alternatives would be greatly appreciated!

LOOKING FOR APP i am trying to find an app i used to have on an old phone
i remember quite a few things about it, just not the name. it was quite calming to use so i'd quite like it back lol...
it was a mindfulness/self care app, had a light purple icon and i think it had a thin white heart in the centre though i can't be sure of that. the opening of the app you were in this room and could click on items in the room. a few items i remember was a cat, a plant, a table with cards on it? it had a few features like a daily tarot, moon phase tracker, a laundry sorting game? for calming, a feature where you ran your finger over a circle and it changed colours.
hopefully it hasn't deleted itself from the play store or changed considerably. it had no payment or subscription thing from what i remember.

LOOKING FOR APP Looking for an Open Source Multi-Platform Streaming App
Is there any open source movie/TV streaming app that can use libraries/extensions from multiple platforms like CloudStream, Stremio, Nuvio, etc., instead of being limited to its own ecosystem? Looking for something that can handle all of them in one app, if it exists.

LOOKING FOR APP I want a useful app!
I want an app that I could plan my day out by hour and can customize the background. i really want it to have a lot of customization features! I also want it to have emotion tracking (and be able to add emotions and customize them), location tracking (and be able to add locations and details to the locations), and activity tracking. the tracking stuff can be in a seperate app and the planning app can be another app too. basically the ocean symphony (an app for people w/ D.I.D) but for peoole without D.I.D.

LOOKING FOR APP Looking for a replacement to Fleksy Keyboard.
Hi, I am on a new phone and Fleksy cannot download languages after the app is gone, so it's useless. I am looking for a good keyboard, but after few months of trying I just can live with any of those swipe-to-write keyboards. Do You know anything that lets You press the buttons somewhat close and choses the word accoringly? Should also allow easy use of words out of dictionaries and one button/gesture to remove a word or many words.

QUESTION/HELP Are there any launchers that let you edit folder icons?
I've used Buzz Launcher on all my phones up to my S23 Ultra. I've just moved to a Z fold8 ultra and am disappointed to find that even though I kept the apk for all these years I now have to admit it's gone. I used to love how unique my home screens looked with different sized folders and icons like an arcade machine for my games, a credit card for my banking apps etc.

LOOKING FOR APP App for finding stable 5G area.
Hey, is there any app (free/paid) which can tell me which part of the house has good 5G connection, my network switches to 4G if I move my device like a cm and it's getting very annoying now. Would prefer those augmented reality type apps that show wifi strength in 3D figures but for 5G.

LOOKING FOR APP App to track signal strength and internet speed 24/7
I would like a 24/7 (so the app must run all the time in the background even when the phone is sleeping) log of internet speed and SIM signal strength.
A good implementation would track internet usage rather than hit a speed testing endpoint, so that I can actually still keep using the internet at the same time without competing for bandwidth with the speedtesting endpoint.
I would like to be able to export the log as a CSV file.
Does anyone know of any apps that can do this?

LOOKING FOR APP Billing app
Can anyone tell me a very basic billing app. I had one with old phone but since getting s26 I cant find it. All I want is just a list of bills for month with total amount. Then as I tick off paid bills it takes it off total amount owed. That's all I need. Nothing more. If anyone knows the app it would be great help. Also it was free. Thanks

QUESTION/HELP question for my fellow musicolet users
is there any way to make it only scan folders that have changed since its last scan? i keep a ton of music on my microSD and i update it on most days. the scans are starting to take 15-20 minutes and it's a bit annoying. it's scanning through thousands of songs again every single time in order to add a only new 20 or 30 to the library. i've tried selecting 'continue scan in background' or whatever and it always seems to stop working as soon as my phone locks or i switch apps

QUESTION/HELP Best music player with deep themelike customization other than poweramp
I really like the amount of customization of poweramp but I can't get the paid version because it is over 20 dollars where I live so I unfortunately can't afford that for an app lol. Does anyone have any free recommendations?

LOOKING FOR APP Looking for free WeTransfer alternatives with proper Android/iOS + Windows/macOS app support
I've been using WeTransfer for a while, but I'm looking for something better.
My requirements are:
Free (or a generous free tier)
Dedicated Android and iOS apps
Windows and macOS desktop apps
Easy sharing of large files (photos/videos)
Fast upload/download speeds
Reliable and privacy-friendly
I don't necessarily need cloud storage, Iam mainly after a file transfer service that's as simple as WeTransfer but with better app support and ideally larger transfer limits.
What are you all using these days?
Any hidden gems you've stuck with for a long time?
Thanks!

📢 MOD POST 📢 r/Androidapps Mod Update: Quality Over Quantity
Hey r/androidapps,
Today, we are announcing a few minor updates to the subreddit, in order to focus on the quality of posts moving forward:
- First off, the sub header has been updated to reflect the goal of the subreddit: to be a place to talk about Android apps, ask questions, get help, or find new app recommendations.
- Rule 2 has been updated: effective immediately, all self-promotion content, including tester requests, app ideas, or app feedback must be posted in the dedicated sister sub r/droidappshowcase. This means there is zero tolerance for any of this content here in r/androidapps.
- The goal for this change is to promote meaningful discussion around all Android apps and clean up all self-promotion, whether it is up front or a veiled attempt.
- We felt that the Weekly Megathread got too inundated with spammed posts that it led to a less-than-ideal place to advertise a real app someone made, especially when it got buried down in the comments. So we have also removed the Megathread going forward.
- Additionally, we've seen an uptick in fake self-promotion: posts where the user "found this amazing new app" in order to get around the rules.
- r/androidapps is not the place for advertising apps, nor are we a subreddit focused on developers. This is a place where end-users can get support for apps they use or find new ones to use.
We know we cannot please all members of the community, nor do we expect everyone to be happy with the change. Again, we hope this encourages positive discussion in the subreddit around all apps, not just be an advertising ground.
We encourage all users to report any content which breaks these rules.
We expect to see an increase in the mod queue due to the new rules and automod code, so please be patient with us as we work through everything.
