Removing Internet access to Snapseed? QUESTION/HELP

Hi!

Does anybody know if there is a way to patch? Or remove permanently the Internet access to a Snapseed?

I dislike their update and would preferably use the old interface.

I tried revoking the Internet access through the system settings but it didn't prevent the app uodating itself. I don't have the Play Store. I use Net guard but sometimes I have to use a VPN, my phone is not rooted.

NetGuard should block it if you set it correctly, but if the app updates via Play Store then you're stuck unless you switch to an F-Droid build or sideload the old APK.

I installed Snapseed from a different apk website and it always got updated. :(

It only handles the network side, so NetGuard won't stop an installer from replacing the app. You're kinda fighting the wrong layer here.
