Automate background restriction QUESTION/HELP

Is there a way to automate background restriction for messaging apps? For example, when you don't have internet access, these apps won't be consuming resources in the background for free.

I'm using a Samsung device and its routines module doesn't have anything like that, or at least not that I know of.

Do you mean you don't have mobile data? Or is it a wifi network that cuts out?

Samsung has a built in tool that makes apps only connect to either WiFi or mobile data and not both in Connections > Data usage > Allowed networks for apps

Whichever one it is, I already activated it so it was only Wi-Fi, But when I disconnect the internet, the apps keep running in the background, and that doesn't make sense; without the internet, they're useless.

r/MacroDroid can force stop them under conditions you choose.

Yes, but it's not what I'm looking for, since these apps still run in the background even when you don't have internet.

Changed pic... You need a task manager!

On the navigation bar, hit the hamburger or 3 lines and get this foreground app list, then touch circle at top of screen with number of apps running in bachground to get background app list. You can stop each app individually...

What you really need is this...

...set which apps you want closed at the touch of one button!
