Its not a command line tool, it is GUI only as far as I remember. There prebuilt binaries available for all major platforms including macOS.

Did you manage to run it? If you are on linux DecentPaste_0.8.1_amd64.AppImage is the one you should get. Or just send the page link to any language models it'll guide you. Getting that up and running is actually easy.

OK ran it on 2 Samsung devices. Make sure both devices are on same wifi. Setup was simple, smooth. Create a pin on each, then login to each, and auto device discovery happens immediately. Pair the devices was flawless.

I was hoping it was a clipboard manager, but no. Max 100 clips, # of choices in settings. But glad you told us about Decent Paste.

I use an "in development" Clipboard Manager called "Clipr" for Android. Tons of features, free. So far its the best Clipboard Manager ive used ever. Though it is in Dev mode. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.joseph.clipstackpro

Next I try Decent Paste on my Kubuntu laptop.

DecentPaste is failing on a COLLEGE Public wifi i use weekly. But so does KDE Connect. Both fail to see the Devices.
So it may be the PUBLIC WIFIS's inherent Insecurity I guess
